2.1 Macronutrients
These nutrients are usually required in large amounts in the body and constitute the bulk of the diet.
They are amounts usually measured in grams. There are three macronutrients:
1. Protein
2. Fats (including cholesterol)
3. Carbohydrates (sugars, starches and fibre)
N.B.
Water is discussed later as it not a true nutrient.
Alcohol is regarded as an anti-nutrient and is also discussed later.
